Hi, I am Poentje

I have moved in with Nomdo and Anja in 2011. I already had a place to stay close by, but since Anja was home all day and at the same time is an excellent physical therapist I started a charming-campaign and finally managed to move in at the beginning of 2011.

2015

Despite not seeing, I had a really good year. My friends come to visit me regularly.

I have my personal stalker! She/He is called K2 (too shy to let any of us determine whether we talk female or male). She has even her own feeding station, so she won’t steal my food.

Mr. Black has been a friend forever, this might explain his poor manners.

I also have a lookalike called Poenina (at least we think it’s a girl). She has such good manners that she never enters the house.

Last year a new kid on the block arrived. No match for me, not even blind! Young and very active, but he knows not to come into the house when I am around, made that pretty clear to him (hehe). He is called Manfred (based on the Red Baron, red fur, pretty cocky and tended to fly fast when I was after him).

Poenina seems to get along with him by the way.

2014

Unfortunately I started losing sight on my other eye slowly during 2014 and ended up being pretty much blind at the end of 2014. This has not stopped me from being a happy cat, just the occasional accident when bumping into stuff. No big deal for me! I even enjoy frequent walks in the garden. I have to admit that I no longer go for the really long walks in the neighbourhood but still.......

2013

In recent years my health has deteriorated slightly. In 2013 I had to get one eye removed due to high pressure. Pretty stressful, particularly since it was around Christmas.

As you can see this didn't stop me from hunting and enjoying the adventurous lifestyle.

And some still consider me the most beautiful cat of the neighbourhood.

2010/2011

Occasionally Nomdo has to take over my treatment. He might not appear as enthusiastic as Anja but I nonetheless appreciate his sacrifice.

My favourite hobby is sleeping

Followed by hunting (after all I am a predator!)

But I am not stupid, so when the weather sucks I can hunt from my personal hunting lodge.
